The east coastline, as well as the south, are dotted with beautiful beaches. Leaving your hotel, heading north, you will meet the beautiful Tsilivi [4.2 km from the Avalon Palace Hotel], an organized crystal clear sandy beach with crystal clear waters and sports activities such as beach volley, mini-golf, bowling, water park. Next is the quietest Makris Gialos beach [25.1 km from Avalon Palace Hotel] with pebbles and deep crystal clear waters. At the northwestern tip of the island, we find the most photographed part, Shipwreck-Navagio beach [33.6 km from the Avalon Palace Hotel] with its impressive rocks and the island trademark, the island trademark wreck of the ship PANAGIOTIS on the beach. You will admire the eerie landscape from above, but you will have to take the tourist boats that organize excursions to the specific beach in order to swim.

If you choose a southern route, you will find several organized beaches, the first being Argassi [6 km from the Avalon Palace Hotel], characterized by intense tourist life, a beautiful sandy beach with traditional taverns and snack bars. The quietest beach is Porto Zoro [16.6 km from the Avalon Palace Hotel] with a small sandy beach and impressive rocks at the edge. It is quite organized with umbrellas and sun loungers and is characterized by beautiful verdant nature. The island's largest sandy beach is Vasilikos, which is extremely touristy, with restaurants and bars and many umbrellas and sun loungers by the sea. The entire southern shoreline of Laganas Bay [10.9 km from the Avalon Palace Hotel] has been incorporated into the Zakynthos National Marine Park and is governed by strict beach use rules to protect the sensitive ecosystem and nesting grounds of Caretta caretta turtles.
